Finding a laptops under 300 dollars can be achieved relatively easily with a bit of sales savvy and internet research. A lot of big retailers such as best buy and Walmart often have epic specials that will take down the price of some of there mid range laptops to sub-par budget prices that most people can afford. Amazon also has specials often where laptop prices are shave off by as much as 20% or more. Obviously, if you want a laptop for under 300 dollars that isn’t secondhand you are really going to have to work for it.
Online retailers offer a huge convenience factor. You don’t even need to leave the comfort of your own home and will be free to stick glued to the couch with a bong in your hand or doing whatever entirely unproductive activity you choose to do while the online retailer works hard to make sure your laptop gets through to you safe. Amazon and Walmart are good contenders but there are literally thousands of retailers online that you can use to order the laptop you need. It all boils down to the price – usually someone like Amazon will set the lowest price and then other online retailers will drop theirs in order to remain competitive in the market.
On the other hand physical stores can also be a win. It does mean the effort of actually leaving the house, but this is a small price to pay considering you also get to see the laptop first hand which can prevent any nasty surprises and could actually save you a lot of research time as opposed to the online route. Best buy is again probably the best retailer as they are essentially the Amazon of the retail store and are able to buy so much stock that they can undercut most of their products buy a mile. Be wary though. You don’t want to get sucked into the sales pitch of one of the floor attendants only to realize weeks alter that you were completely screwed and the laptop you bought really isn’t want you need at all.
